This is actually a pretty good item. I purchased it to make corn tortillas and I needed something fast. Its sturdy enough, easy to use, not heavy which is a major plus for me and the design is what I expected. This tortilla maker does what its supposed to do and I actually enjoy using it.
I purchased this press to make smash burgers and it makes them well.

I don't have a lot (okay, any) experience with tortilla presses. I've only been making my own tortillas for about 9 months, and I've just been rolling them out. I got this tortilla press using a Christmas gift card, and it has made tortilla making a real joy! Not to mention, it cut the prep time by at least half, maybe more.
Works beautifully. The trick to getting nice, thin tortillas is the consistency of the dough. If it is too dry, the tortillas are too thick. You just need to ad a little water until they squish out well!
